Homes for Our Troops Announces Veterans Day Volunteer Event at the Coventry CT Home for SGT Brian Johnston
Coventry, CT (PRWEB) November 10, 2007 -- Homes For Our Troops, a non-profit organization that provides specially adapted homes for severely wounded veterans, announced today that it will host a Press Conference to launch a "Volunteer Event " for a specially adapted home building project for USMC, Sgt. Brian Johnston.
Sgt. Brian Johnston, USMC, from Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, 1st Marine Division, was wounded November 8, 2004 in Fallujah, Iraq, when the Amphibious Assault Vehicle he was riding in was hit by an IED. Brian lost his right leg and right arm in that attack. Volunteers are still being accepted and are asked to arrive at the site at 8am on Saturday November 10 and 10 am on Sunday November 11. Kirt Rebello, Vice President/Chief Project Officer for Homes For Our Troops, and local volunteers in the community of Coventry, would like to extend an invitation to your organization to join this event with Sgt Johnston.
