Doyles Room Re-Added To US Accepted Poker Site List

(PRWEB) October 19, 2007 -- Doyles Room was re-added to the list of US poker sites (http://www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php) at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php after they released a statement saying they will once again accept US players. They stopped taking US players back in February 07 but now the decision was reversed.

Compatible Poker received the news two days ago that on October 19th US players will be allowed back into Doyles Room under a new network, the Microgaming Platform. This didn't come as a big shock as rumors were spreading about the possibility of DoylesRoom coming back, said Gambling911.

This is positive news for the US online gaming market which has seen its ups and downs over the past year. The regulations for the UIGEA, which was the law to stop gambling transactions for US players was also released this month. I. Nelson Rose, a Gambling Law Professor released his review (http://www.compatiblepoker.com/proposed-regulations-review.cms.htm) of these "proposed" regulations saying, "Nothing will happen for many, many months." Meaning the regulations are a mess.

Compatiblepoker.com (http://www.compatiblepoker.com) says that Doyles Room will be on what is called an "11 state ban". This is because the software is going to be using the Microgaming System and they intentionally block players from a certain 11 states where their legal team has determined they should because of US state laws.

This is the first time in the 1 year period since the UIGEA was passed that Compatible Poker has been tracking US poker sites at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php that a cardroom has reversed their decision to return to the US market.
